Ersyl T. Biray, PhD, LPT
Campus Director

Dr. Biray is currently Professor V at the Aklan State University. He took his BA English and MA in Education, major in Administration and Supervision (Cum Laude) degrees from the Aklan College, Kalibo, Aklan in 1982 and 1987, respectively; MA in Education, major in Language Teaching - English degree from the West Visayas State University, Iloilo City in 2005; and Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management degree from the Aklan State University, Banga, Aklan in 2007.

He was recipient of fellowship programs from the Netherlands government through the Maastricht School of Management, The Netherlands in November 2009; the Commission on Higher Education and the Development Academy of the Philippines in 2010; the United States government through the U.S. Department of State and the University of Oregon - American English Institute in 2011; and a refresher course from the Netherlands Fellowship Programme through the Maastricht School of Management at the Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR) in Bandung, Indonesia in December 2016. 

He served as Principal of the Laboratory High School in 2001; Division Chair of the Languages, Communication, Humanities and the Arts in 2002; Acting Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences in 2003; Graduate Studies Coordinator in 2008; Officer-in-Charge, College of Teacher Education in October 2011; Head, Teacher Education Center in 2011; Vice President for Academic Affairs from January 2008 until July 2012; Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences and School of Management Sciences in July 2012 to June 2013; and Campus Director of ASU Kalibo Campus, College of Industrial Technology from June 2013 until July 2017.

A book author and researcher, he is also a Senior Accreditor of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), and a member of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Institutional Sustainability Assessment (ISA) Assessors of Higher Education Institutions in the Philippines.
