The Aklan State University Academic Data Management Information System (ADMIS) project worth 3-Million pesos finally took off through an orientation of clients on its use at the ASU-CIT Computer Laboratory, Kalibo, Aklan last September 10, 2016. Management information systems (MIS) experts from the Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U) led by Professor Ned Cababasay laid down the basic features of the system that included programs for enrolment, accounting, cashiering, scholarships, scheduling and other features that promise smooth and fast transaction processes. A series of trainings for personnel of specific offices in all the campuses will commence as soon as the equipment and other paraphernalia are in place.
In attendance during the opening program were Dr. Anna Mae C. Relingo, Vice President for Administration, Dr. Cecile O. Legaspi, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ersyl T. Biray, Campus Director of ASU Kalibo, and Prof. Louie B. Garcia, ICT Director. Representatives from the offices of the Registrar, Cashier, Accountant, Student Affairs Coordinator, ICT Chairperson, and Chairperson for Academic Affairs from the five campuses were briefed of the features of the system after the program.
Meanwhile, ASU Kalibo campus will be the pilot testing center for the enrolment features of this project.#
